The Fresno pepper is similar to the Jalapeño pepper, with more flavor.

The fruit starts out bright green turning to orange and red when ripe. The soft greens can usually be purchased in the summer while the warm reds are available in the fall, depending on the region.

These will be perfect for ceviche, salsa and as a side dish for rice and black beans.
