Sage

Appreciated since Antiquity, sage is adorned with so many virtues that it was even said that it could make you immortal. Its Latin name (salvia) means " the plant that saves life ". It is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and for fighting against cardiovascular diseases.

Throughout the Mediterranean basin, gastronomy has appropriated sage for its aromatic qualities. Very fragrant, it enhances the flavors of lamb, white meats and fish. It also enhances sauces and the taste of many vegetables such as squash, eggplant and potatoes.
