A story of friendship

The adventure began with a friendship between three enthusiasts of aromatic herbs. Jacques Fromage, a specialist in the distribution of herbs within major international groups for over 30 years, created SIPAL 10 years ago. Aware of today's challenges and the importance of complete control over the supply chain, he joined forces with his two loyal Moroccan partners to create Compagnie Méditerranéenne des Plantes Aromatiques (CMPA). Through this farm, we now control the entire production chain, from seed to shipment of the finished product.

The SIPAL/CMPA partnership enables us to capitalize on our know-how and experience in our two core businesses: agricultural production, and the selection and distribution of the finest aromatic herbs. Supported by committed employees, it's a story that lives on with the daughters of Jacques Fromage.

Distribution

Our SIPAL distribution platform is based in Perpignan, in the south of France. From here, we market all our fresh aromatic herbs throughout Europe. The expertise of our staff enables us to provide our customers with every solution in terms of products and logistics, thanks to a fully personalized service.

Once the goods have been dispatched by CMPA, they head for Perpignan in bi-temperature trucks, where they are then redistributed throughout Europe: France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, England, Switzerland and Italy. Through SIPAL, we have created the SOLETHICS brand, synonymous with quality, commitment, diversity and innovation.

Production

CMPA: our FARMING OPERATIONS

Our farm, Compagnie Méditerranéenne des Plantes Aromatiques, is made up of several production farms and a packaging station, all covering more than 40 hectares. This rapidly expanding infrastructure enables us to grow our entire range of products all year round, and to package them according to our customers' requirements.

We also have our own nursery for young plants, cared for by our team of specialists. CMPA's commitment to quality and food safety, as well as to the environment, our employees and our consumers, is evidenced by the fact that we hold several certifications with recognized requirements.
